

With the launch of MAA Movies in February 2011 and MAA Gold (a trendy GEC with a focus on urban and youth audience) in February 2012, MAA TV has emerged as a major Telugu television network with a bouquet of four channels. The second channel, MAA Music, was launched in 2008.

In February 2015, STAR India, a unit of 21st Century Fox, has acquired the entire broadcast business of MAA Television Network Ltd for a whopping ₹2,500 crore (US$370 million).
